Hi and welcome back.
I hope you are all well and enjoying the run up to Halloween. I love this time of year. It feels me with excitement ahead of Christmas but also I love how the weather changes and we get to curl up under blankets again. Hot chocolate and cookies while curled up on the sofa; yes please!

To me, Halloween means enjoying tasty treats while watching spooky films. Every single Halloween you will find me curled up on the sofa with comfort food and watching A Nightmare Before Christmas. I love this film so much and it really puts me in the festive spirit.
Last year, I decided to throw a Halloween inspired party to celebrate the holiday. You can find my blog post here where I share my Jack-O-Lantern Stuffed Peppers, Chocolate Banana Ghosts and my Gluten and Dairy Free Devilled Eggs recipe. If it is safe to do so, please enjoy throwing a Halloween party that any coeliac and dairy free allergy sufferers can enjoy too.
This year, I wanted to share a simple quick snack to enjoy on this cold night if we can’t celebrate with family. My Gluten Free Chocolate Chip Bat Cookies. This recipe is so simple to make and guaranteed to satisfy that sweet treat.
To make the cookies, simply cream together butter and sugar together, add egg, vanilla and flour and mix. Add the flour duster chocolate chips and roll out on a floured surface. Cut out the bat shapes and bake for 15-20 minutes. Leave to cool before dipping in melted chocolate to decorate.
These cookies are the perfect snack or treat to enjoy on Halloween Night. Why not add them to the Halloween Inspired party food for an extra spooky treat?
I hope you enjoy. Please let me know if you try this recipe by tagging me on Instagram using #livingcoeliac or by sharing photos directly to my Facebook page.
